R & M Developments Ltd was established in 1982 and since then has provided quality services to the residential and commercial construction and civil engineering industries.

It is a privately-owned company which has expanded in recent years under the overall control of its long-serving directors, management and operations teams. The company offers its services as a main contractor or sub-contractor and enjoys a great deal of repeat work for long-standing clients with whom it has built strong, positive relationships. Together with its associated company Airport Services & Plant Hire Ltd the company has an annual turnover of c £12 million and employs 120 skilled contractors and support staff. It caters for the smallest schemes to large design/build projects and demolition packages.

R & M Developments provides its clients with a highly professional service, from the initial estimating stage through to surveying, project management, quality control and handover. The company is registered with Construction Line – the UK register of Pre-Qualified Construction Services – and is currently progressing towards ISO 9001:2000 and I.I.P. It is also CHAS and Achilles-accredited. Its specialist divisions offer a breadth of expertise and allows the company to provide a one-stop solution for its customers. This single, focused approach is both cost and time-efficient.


R & M Developments’ head office is located in East Manchester, approximately 1.5 miles from Manchester city centre, which makes all areas in and around Greater Manchester easily accessible.

Projects in Lancashire are also easy to service thanks to excellent motorway links close to the company’s HQ. The head office is a large, purpose-built depot unit which also houses the company’s administrative teams.

R & M Developments also has an airport service office, which provides a comprehensive on-site support facility for its operations teams and clients working at Manchester Airport. This facility is also a base for projects across Cheshire and South Manchester.
