Laying the foundations in the transformation of Whitby Hall
We were contracted by Ellesmere Port Council to provide groundworks on the Whitby Hall project.
Formerly a Victorian stately home and originally built in the 1860s, the building had been given the green light for extensive refurbishment and remodelling after being commissioned to be transformed into a creative centre for high quality arts and culture for children, young people and their families.

Working alongside Engie on the extension of the existing Whitby Hall, our work consisted of strip footings, DPM, insulation, rebar & concrete slab works, tanking of the new brickwork below ground level, external & internal drainage inclusive of attenuation tank & hydro-brake chambers by use of proprietary systems. Kerbing & pin kerbing works, brick retaining wall & flagged steps.
