Environmental Management System

We identify all significant environmental aspects and impacts of our business activities and have formal procedures to reduce known or potential negative environmental impacts. Our Environmental Policy and Sustainability Plan details our commitment to this. Compliance with all relevant environmental legislation is built into our company management controls. We have agreed environmental objectives and targets against which we measure our performance as part of our drive for continuous improvement.

Human Rights and Labour Standards

Our aim is to be a “Good Employer”, seen by our workforce in our highly competitive industry as being an employer of choice. We ensure compliance with all relevant UK employment legislation and confirm the scope of our commitment to this via our Labour Standards Policy which is signed by the Managing Director and displayed in the company's offices. We promote an ”open door” approach by which all employees are encouraged to discuss issues with their managers.

Ethical Business Behaviour

Our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy supported by our Bribery and Corruption risk assessment demonstrate our understanding of, and commitment to, full compliance with the Bribery Act. Our formal management systems ensure a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and company procedures, allowing monitoring and auditing of all aspects of performance. Our Labour Standards and Equality Policies confirm our commitment to full compliance with employment and discrimination legislation.

Ethical Purchasing

Purchasing is carried out in accordance with company quality management procedures. In additional to cost, quality and programme aspects, consideration is given positively to local spending, environmental credentials, sustainability, whole life costing. Sub contractors are formally assessed in accordance with our accredited quality management system, prior to initial appointment and on a regular ongoing basis to ensure their ability and commitment to work in accordance with our policies. All sub contractors on our approved list are issued with controlled copies of our company policies. Key suppliers, in terms of quantities or significance of supplied materials are also subject to a formal documented assessment prior to appointment. Our overall approved suppliers list is also subject to regular review. Performance of the supply chain is reviewed at the highest level in the company in the annual management review meeting in accordance with the accredited quality management system.

Social Policy

Our Social Policy is one of our series of company policies that confirms and defines our commitment to complying with all legal requirements and best practice guidelines and to our overall aim of contributing positively to the health, safety and welfare of our employees and making a positive contribution to our community and society in general. All our policies are explained to new employees on induction, issued to all sub-contractors on our approved list and are displayed in our offices. Performance against them is reviewed on a regular basis and, at least annually, the policies themselves are reviewed and reissued.
